This is Isla
Allow me to introduce myself—I’m Isla, the undisputed cutest half of our household’s certifiably insane dog duo. (Rex might argue otherwise, but let’s be honest—I’m the princess, and he’s just along for the ride. 👑)
I’m a 6-year-old lab/terrier/Australian shepherd/boxer/everything mix—basically, if you threw a bunch of dog breeds in a blender and added a pinch of sass, you’d get me.
My Origin Story (Cue Dramatic Music 🎶)
I hail from AHeinz57 Rescue in Iowa, where my mom and siblings were flown in from Texas. One day, my future mom saw my picture online and decided that she and dad were finally ready for a puppy (or at least, they thought they were). And just like that—BOOM!—I was adopted, and their lives instantly got 1000% more interesting.

🏈 I was this close to being in the Puppy Bowl!
The rescue I came from sends puppies to the Puppy Bowl every year, and if I had been just one week younger, I would have been recruited. But alas, I was deemed “too old” (rude). So now, I’m on my own path to stardom.
✈️ I live a thrilling double life as an airport detection dog.
That’s right—I have an actual job. (Unlike some dogs I know… cough Rex cough.) My super sniffer keeps me busy, and I’ve got plenty of wild airport stories to spill.
🍷 My dream job? Becoming an Andalusian Terrier.
What’s that, you ask? A fancy European pup that sniffs out mice and rats between wine barrels. That’s right—dogs with a mission AND surrounded by wine. Tragically, my DNA test says I’m not one… but I know in my heart that I am.
My Favorite Things:
💖 My family—Rex, my fluffy bunny brother Hopps, and of course, my two-legged parents.
🌈 My late kitty brother Niang, who crossed the rainbow bridge in March 2024. I miss him every day.
🍪I’m obsessed with treats! Mom calls me the Cookie Monster, and honestly? She’s not wrong. 🐾
